Kim Dae-Jung : Answering my own questions

Here they are again:

What was his childhood like:  Kim Dae-Jung grew up as the oldest in his family in South Korea, which was Mokpo Korea at the time. He was born on February 4, 1924, in Sinan , which was then the Jeolla Province. He grew up top in his class.

What caused him to go into politics?: He had a strong opposition against the authoritarian rule during his time. He is actually called the Nelson Mandela of Asia.

What was his push-pull factor?: Push from his own government to make a difference and to stop the tension, and his pull for peace between the nations.

Did his people like him?: Yes, he was liked a lot by his country. He was called the Nelson Mandela of Asia. When he passed away on August 18, 2009, he was mourned by both North and South Korea.
