Stats:
· About 38 million people in Africa are currently suffering from hunger.
· Every 3.6 seconds, someone in the world dies from starvation.
· 1 in 12 people worldwide are malnourished.
· Hunger is considered the number 1 health risk.
· Africa is the poorest continent in the world.
· 1 in 7 people will go to bed hungry tonight.
· The Horn of Africa is where most famine is occurring on the continent.
· Hunger kills more than AIDS, Tuberculosis, and Malaria combined.
· Africans who suffer from poverty usually depend on their subsistent farms, but they aren't self-sufficient due to the lack of fertile soil.
