Kim Dae-Jung : Answering my own questions

Here they are again:

What was his childhood like:  Kim Dae-Jung grew up as the oldest in his family in South Korea, which was Mokpo Korea at the time. He was born on February 4, 1924, in Sinan , which was then the Jeolla Province. He grew up top in his class.

What caused him to go into politics?: He had a strong opposition against the authoritarian rule during his time. He is actually called the Nelson Mandela of Asia.

What was his push-pull factor?: Push from his own government to make a difference and to stop the tension, and his pull for peace between the nations.

Did his people like him?: Yes, he was liked a lot by his country. He was called the Nelson Mandela of Asia. When he passed away on August 18, 2009, he was mourned by both North and South Korea.

Kim Dae-Jung : Extra Info

What issues caused him to take action?: As you may know, North and South Korea do not get along well. They are both VERY corrupt. So there was much fighting and tension that the people wanted to resolve, so he took action to try and make a difference.

Was this issue local or global?: This is a very controversial question, because it is both a global and local issue. You see, the tension got so intense that bombs were set off and people were killed. On November 23, 2010, North Korea bombed Yeonpyeong Island, located in the Yellow Sea; this island is close to a disputed North Korean and South Korean border. Many artillery rounds landed on the island. This issue is clearly a global and local issue. It could escalate to countries siding with either North or South Korea and fighting against one another.

How did Kim Dae-Jung take action?:  To put it short, Kim Dae-Jung reached out to Kim il Jong; Kim il Jong is the Leader of North Korea. Kim Dae-Jung spoke to Jong about peace and making a consensus between the two Countries.

What media channels did this person use?: No media channels were used, just meetings between the Leaders of North and South Korea. Of course, the people of the countries pushed for peace and that was surely on the media.

Some questions I have:

What was his childhood like?
What causes him to go into polotics?
What was his push-pull factor  for his campaign?
What type of government did he run?
Did his people like him?
